“Return to the Wild is a writing retreat for the soul and spirt, for the mind and, of course, nature. Designed to give writers a safe space to reconnect to story, to themselves, and to the nature around them. Be inspired. Go wild.”
— Marina Green (Founder & CEO)
Who are the retreats for?
These retreats are open to all women who write. Whether you’ve never been able to finish writing a book or you have a veritable arsenal of published books behind you. Return to the Wild is for lovers of story and makers of magic.

Return to the Wild
Where it all began, the Return to the Wild Writing Retreat is a unique experience where craft meets nature. A daily blend of activities away from the page and locked into our words, these retreats also offer a gentle group critique experience alongside peers and acclaimed or bestselling authors.
This retreat is a little faster paced than our other two offerings, jam packed with nature-based critique & craft circles, activities, and like-minded community.

Return to the Wild Luxe
Return to the Wild Writing Retreats luxe offerings are an elevated and immersive nature-based experience. With luxurious lodgings, ample time to write, group exercises, and dedicated one-on-one time with your author faculty, you’ll leave these retreats both refreshed and inspired.
This retreat is designed for new and professional writers alike, who want to dig deep, make connections, and write story with the land in mind.

Behind the Book
Behind the Book is Return to the Wild’s newest offering. This retreat is designed to break the knowledge barriers of the traditional publishing industry. Writers will gather with three industry pros (agents, marketing managers, editors, and more!), to develop and elevate their story pitch and learn about the unseen parts of the industry. This retreat is designed with writers and new authors who have chosen the Trad path in mind.
Literary agent by day, Marina is also the founder and CEO of Marina Edits and Return to the Wild, which run in tandem with The Meadow—a safe haven for writers to grow and nourish their craft. Marina has also been a Big 5 editor, a bookseller, and writes her own stories every day.
